San Carlos Borromeo Del Rio Carmelo
The original site of Mission San Carlos Borromeo Del Rio Carmelo is near Figueroa, Monterey and the present home of the Royal Presidio Chapel. The chapel is the only original structure from the original presidio. The mission was moved in 1771 to a new location with better soil s in 1771.
