Mission San Jose

On March 7, 1996, Ms. Lynette Hiebert from Harvey Green Elementary School answered a call for collaboration from Escondido Union School District to create a Mission Internet Fieldtrip. This project was the inspiration of students from both Pioneer and Oak Hill Elementary School (Escondido, CA), who were learning how the Internet could enhance their curriculum learning. This project would not have been possible had it not been the awarding of the "Building the Future" California Technology Grant.


At Harvey Green School this project was open to grades 3-6th GATE and was discussed, written, sketched, and photographed by Carrie H., Rachel R., Nicole F., Garrett S., Bali G., Paul C., and 9 participants who wish to remain anonymous. Harvey Green Elementary School plans to continue expanding the mission web site focusing on various topics as an ongoing project and making this wealth of information available.
